Registration and practices for the 2016 season will begin on August 29th, 6pm at Marty Robbins Park.  High School athletes are encouraged to join the program when their school season ends.

Practices are held at various locations on the East Side.  Several developmental meets will be held through September and October, occasionally in conjunction with high school meets.


Practices for 2016 will start on August 29th, 6pm at Marty Robbins Park.  Updates about changes practice locations and times can be found on the El Paso Wings Track Club facebook page and via TeamApp. 


Members will participate in their age groups on courses of the following length:

                        7-8                       (2008, 2009)                 2K

                        9-10                     (2006, 2007)                 3K

  11-12                    (2004, 2005)                 3K

  13-14                    (2002, 2003)                 4K

  15-16                    (2000, 2001)                 5K

  17-18                    (1998, 1999)                 5K


Top 30 individuals and top 5 teams per age/gender group advance to Nationals.  Teams are made up of 5 to 8 individuals per age/gender group.  If more than 8 participate, the top 8 finishers will advance to represent their team. The season will include several developmental meets, culminating with qualifying meets:


     Border Association XC Championship:  November 5, 2016, Chamizal?


Region 10 XC Championship:  November 19, 2016, Colorado     


National Junior Olympics XC Championship:  December 10, 2016, Hoover, AL



Cost:               Current Wings Members – $65*, plus travel & uniform

                        New Wings Members – $85 (Includes USATF Membership)*, plus travel & uniform 

                       *these membership fees include ALL season entry fees and championship entry fees.


When your Middle School or High School Season ends, join us!

NOTE TO HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES:   High School athletes participating in UIL XC cannot compete in USATF meets until their season is complete.  If you are finished with your season (to include District or Regional) you must compete in the Association Championship to qualify for the Region 10 meet.  



Rule 305,3(f):  “Athletes who compete in their state high school or collegiate championship series may be advanced into their Regional if their Association meet date is in conflict with their school competition.  The final decisions on the granting of this waiver will be made by the Regional coordinator.”
